Privacy policy

b22 lab · effective 2 October 2026

This policy explains what b22 lab does with the information it receives when you sign in with a Google account. b22 lab is a private sign-in service operated by Luke Ashe-Browne ("the operator") for a small, invited group of people.

Information we receive

When you choose Sign in with Google, Google tells b22 lab:

b22 lab requests no other Google data. It does not read your mail, files, calendar or contacts.

How it is used

This information is used only to recognise you when you sign in, to create and maintain your account in the lab, and to decide which of the lab's tools you are allowed to use. It is not used for advertising, profiling, analytics or marketing.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone. It is passed to the lab's own tools only to the extent needed for you to use them (for example, so a tool can show your name). It is not disclosed to third parties, except where the law requires it.

Where it is stored and for how long

Account information is stored in a database on the operator's own servers, in a private network. It is kept for as long as you have an account. Routine sign-in logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then discarded.

Your choices

You can ask the operator at any time to tell you what is held about you, or to delete your account and the information in it. You can also remove b22 lab's access from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Security

Access to the service is limited to approved people, connections are encrypted, and the operator keeps the software up to date. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect what we hold.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
